Established in 1992, Colorado-based OM Engineering has grown to provide unparalleled DER services to the aircraft industry in the Rocky Mountain region and beyond.
More than 3,000 projects later, OM Engineering continues to provide aircraft structural analysis, aircraft design, fracture mechanics and damage tolerance analysis, for more than 30 clients throughout the country. Additionally, we have provided services for international clients in Europe and Asia.
Along with OM Engineering founder Ram — who is an FAA-certified DER — other engineering professionals from the Denver Metropolitan Area provide their insight for some of our projects.
As founder of OM Engineering, LLC, Ram is a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Colorado, and a Federal Aviation Administration Designated Engineering Representative (FAA DER). He specializes in aircraft structures, fatigue and damage tolerance. He has a Masters of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Technology in Aeronautical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Madras.
Additionally, Ram has experience beyond commercial aircrafts. In a career spanning more than three decades, he has also worked on fighter aircrafts, spacecrafts and launch vehicles.
When he’s not busy crawling under an airplane or working on 8110-3 forms, he enjoys Sudoku puzzles and tutoring high school students.
